What to Expect:
We mostly sing hymns, with an occasional praise and worship songs. Our music selections center around our Scripture reading. We also have a choir and men’s southern gospel group, both of whom bring the joy of music to worship!
We value being intergenerational. In practice, that means that there are options for your children. We offer a staffed nursery (0-2), as well as a kids’ worship (3-10yo) option during our service. But if you’re most comfortable keeping your kids with you, that’s fine too!
Being welcoming is one of our core values. Therefore, come as you feel most welcomed. On any given Sunday, there will be people dressed in their Sunday best as well as more comfortable options.
Our services are a balance of music, scripture, prayer, preaching and communion. The sermons are around 10 minutes, allowing space for other expressions of hearing and responding to God in worship. Altogether, worship lasts 45 mintes to an hour.
Yes. There are handicap parking spots that lead directly to the ramp up to the sanctuary. There are no pews, only chairs, which one of our ushers will gladly move so that you can park your wheelchair anywhere in the sanctuary.
We, along with all United Methodists, practice an open table. This means that everyone is invited to receive God’s grace through the bread and cup (grape juice). You don’t have to be a member of any church. All may come and receive a gift of grace.
We believe God loves you. We believe that God extends amazing grace to all of us. We believe in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirt continues to work in and for the world today. In many other things, there will be differing opinions. And that’s okay!
If you would like to learn more about the beliefs and values of the United Methodist Church, we encourage you to visit umc.org/who-we-are.
But the best way to get to know our church is to experience worship for yourself!
Yes, we livestream our worship services for those who are unable to attend in-person. However, if you are able, we believe worship is most meaningful in the presence of community, and so we encourage you to join us in-person.
